2017

Kind of a random thought, but is anyone near 2017-03-17 48 11‎‎ which is near Westenhausen? I will be in Ingolstadt in the morning for a meeting and then a visit to the Audi museum. --Thomcat (talk) 17:47, 16 March 2017 (UTC)

The list of past expeditions is neither complete nor very clear. I'm planning to archive everything before 2017 and create an automated list like they did in Innsbruck, if nobody minds. --Solli 2017-04-13

Done that. But I'm not quite sure if I did it right, let's see what the Bot makes out of it. I appreciate any correction or improvement. --Solli

2015

Thomcat in Nuremberg for the last week of February; considering a geohash in Germering (near München) on Monday. Would purchase a Bayern ticket for the day's activities. Interested? --Thomcat (talk) 11:15, 20 February 2015 (EST)

Interested yes - which is not "will go", though, but "might join". Chances are higher if more people might show up... See also Talk:Nürnberg,_Germany --Ekorren (talk) 05:31, 22 February 2015 (EST)

Details:

  • Ekorren could arrive around 10:00 at München bus terminal Hackerbrücke (only a few minutes walk from the train station)
  • Thomcat could arrive at München Hbf at 11:01 from Nürnberg
  • Suburban train to Germering-Unterpfaffenhofen every 20 minutes
  • Walking distance to the hash about 1 km
Unless someone else decides to join very soon, I guess the trip is cancelled for me. Sorry. I had hoped to activate more people with these plans but it seems nobody got woken up here... --Ekorren (talk) 14:52, 22 February 2015 (EST)

2014

Hey München geohashers - I'll be in town shortly for a few days, from Saturday (tomorrow) or Sunday until around Tuesday or Wednesday. Will be looking for hashes in that time frame! I'd be happy to join you and make more connections between graticules, you guys always seem to have cool expeditions... -- OtherJack (talk) 18:33, 9 October 2014 (EDT)

2013

100

Wow, congratulations on number 100, Zertrin! How did you count the expeditions, though? I just looked up Category:Meetup in 48 11 and counted 102. But there's always some junk entries, so you might just be right as well ;) -The T-Man 07:26, 28 January 2013 (EST)

Hum I just read the number given by Most active graticules, Expedition section, the big table, calculated by the bot of NWoodruff. From the category indeed I count 101, if we omit to count the retrohash. Don't know where lies this discrepancy... — Zertrin 07:40, 28 January 2013 (EST)
Probably a planning page relict of some sort. The data from Most active graticules seems very legit to me. Let's just celebrate! :D -The T-Man 11:50, 28 January 2013 (EST)
NWoodruff isn't a bot. It is an Microsoft program that I wrote and source code is available on GitHub. But I upload it every morning before going to work. I'll check to see where the discrepancy is. --NWoodruff 13:54, 29 January 2013 (EST)
There is a discrepancy that I exclude retro hashes before 2008-05-24 as so they don't show up in Coordinates reached. I will look at the source code and fix it in the next coming days to include them in coordinates not reached. --NWoodruff 14:05, 29 January 2013 (EST)

Retro Categories Fixed

I now include retro geohashes before 2008-05-24 and your totals are now correct. --NWoodruff 16:55, 31 January 2013 (EST)

Thanks! -The T-Man 06:52, 1 February 2013 (EST)

100 Successful

Congratulations on now making 100 successful coordinates reached. --NWoodruff (talk) 09:23, 16 September 2013 (EDT)

Zürich war

  • Hey fellow geohashers! Have you read that : 2013-01-26 47 8 and the talkpage. I don't feel like letting them win the "Most active graticule for January 2013" that easily. That's why I'm considering attempting both of the next hashes (tomorrow Sunday and Monday). With lot of luck it could even be possible to finish on a par if the hashes until the end of the month are favorable. For tomorrow, we'll maybe try a Sunrise Geohash achievement. For Monday, I may try it on morning before going to work. — Zertrin 15:19, 26 January 2013 (EST)
    • Challenge accepted. I don't actually have a lot of opportunities to hash in my beloved home graticule right now, but I think we'll manage to keep up and get another one of those shiny ribbons. Thanks for the motivation. --Calamus 15:35, 26 January 2013 (EST)
      • Ha, I also had this sort of itching about challenging Zürich! However, there's a lot of stuff to do until Feb 4th for me. After that, - Bring. It. On. -The T-Man 17:26, 26 January 2013 (EST)
        • Oh, and yes: Making plans. Sunday's spot theoretically is in my corner of the town, but there's a family meeting coming up. Don't know how long that lasts. Monday, in return, looks nice. I'd start at about 14:40 at Central Station. -The T-Man 17:30, 26 January 2013 (EST)
          • The hash has been attended by Zertrin and vermouthandgin. I'm almost slightly impressed. Just don't fail your exams out of need for acceptance, Zertrin. We all do love you already. I'll need to improve my evil nemesis taunts – I'm not really used to not being friendly. --Calamus 12:55, 27 January 2013 (EST)
            • Wonderful expedition Zertrin, seems like you did a great job at annoying (one or more) Swiss. I just set up tomorrow's expedition page, but I'm not sure when to go there yet. -The T-Man 15:30, 27 January 2013 (EST)
              • goddamit. i see a few busy days coming... >:) --Chris 47 8 18:32, 27 January 2013 (EST)
                • Guess so. That's what you get from boasting, my dear :P. Also, I'm not very available right now (and also ruined my feet today), so you'll need to do a big part of it. But let's be honest, they're don't have a real chance of catching up. Do they? --Calamus 19:39, 27 January 2013 (EST)

Meetup time Innsbruck 47 11

Hi Munich!

I would like to change the Saturday meetup time for the neighbouring Innsbruck graticule. I know some of you are geohashing in the bavarian part of 47 11, please tell me if you don't like the idea.

Cheers --LeslieHapablap (talk) 02:34, 24 June 2013 (EDT)
