From Geohashing

Welcome

And nicely done, a consecutive after only a few geohashes? Congrats. -- Rhonda 18:49, 8 September 2009 (UTC)

Thanks. :) Today's looks to be about 100 feet off the road up a wooded hillside. Wish me luck and continued convenient coordinates. -- Mark 19:14, 8 September 2009 (UTC)

Are you still active?

I'm near Minneapolis for the next week and a half. -- Rhonda 01:24, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, I still am. The coordinates are usually just not as good as they were that one crazy week. I nearly went to Saturday's point, but it was halfway up a steep hill on deer hunting opener, and that seemed like a bad idea.

I'm in Rochester, about an hour or so South-East of Minneapolis but would gladly drive a bit for good coordinates with other geohashers. I'm planning on skipping work Monday (tomorrow) morning to go hiking on the Mississippi river at Frontenac. Send me a message via the wiki or IRC and we'll try to find a good expedition while you're in town. -- Mark 04:26, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

What, you weren't going to just put an orange vest on and go for it? :-) -- Rhonda 04:37, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

Are you saying he should just give it a shot?  :-) (We've been having some similar hashpoints here) Jiml 05:42, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

10 November

Shame to miss out, but I didn't even see your post until 7:30. Just finished dinner, and I'm tired. Also, driving down here made me not want to head into the city. Too many scary interchanges to get lost in. :-) (Yes, I'm a wuss...)

Ha! No worries. I was getting a bit too tired to really want to drive up anyway. Went rock climbing instead, and now I'm physically tired but mentally recovered. -- Mark 04:19, 11 November 2009 (UTC)

Looks like the point is across the road from the golf course, by google maps display of where the golf course is. Still looks easy to access, and will meet you in the best buy parking lot you sent a link to. (I assume it's visible from the highway exit.) I'm driving a brand new beige/tan chevy impala. -- Rhonda 13:31, 14 November 2009 (UTC)
