Let people know your age, sex (well, gender), and graticule with this little template. (Blame chrisinajar for the idea.)

[edit] Usage

• Age: Automatically calculated from your provided birthdate.
  • Y, m, and d parameters refer respectively to the year, month, and day of your birthdate.
  • For the privacy-conscious, you can manually set your age: {{ASG|age=23|gender=m|lat=38|lon=-78}}, but don't forget to change it when you get older!
• Sex: Taken as m or f from the gender parameter.
• Graticule: Presents a link to lat,lon, which may require a redirect page. See Caveats.

[edit] Tweaks

• If the default userbox-style width of 238px just isn't doing it for you, you may also specify a CSS-valid width parameter, e.g., width=300px or width=27em.

[edit] Why?

• It will help with stats analysis! Theoretically. We've already got age-grouped categories.
• It's nice to be able to look up someone's username and get some general idea of who and where they are. This just extends that into a standard format.
• Maybe one day we'll have an IRC bot, script, or plugin that can use this template to gather information for easy lookup during chat.

[edit] Caveats

You may need to create the redirect page for your grat's coordinates. Not all graticules have coordinate-based redirects to their page. Here's an example:

1. Oh no! 38,-78 is a red link! What shall I do?
2. Well, it should go to Shenandoah Valley, Virginia.
3. I'll follow the red link and put this in:

   #REDIRECT [[Shenandoah Valley, Virginia]]

4. Magic: 38,-78
