Talk:Virgin World

From Geohashing

May I humbly suggest to call it 'Global Virgin' instead? -- relet 18:02, 26 January 2012 (EST)

Since this is an achievement that can only be claimed once, I think it should have been defined before the conditions were met. Maybe make it a gratuitous ribbon instead? --Crox 10:56, 27 January 2012 (EST)

Why not "Virgin World" if the intention is to spread geohashing across the universe? I like the idea of being the first geohasher on the Moon or Mars! The algorithms for calculation would certainly be different, positioning systems need to be established, etc. On the other hand, the "trivial" Bingo gehohash achievement got stale...--Fasanen 18:26, 27 January 2012 (EST)

The first expedition already earned a place in the Hall of Amazingness, and, besides the satisfaction of knowing to have been the first, what more could a geohasher hope for? An achievement that can only be claimed once, created a long time after its conditions were met, like Crox said, is not an achievement the community could be interested in. --ilpadre 09:33, 28 January 2012 (EST)
