Lake Coordinates

This particular reticule is mostly the lake. May I suggest that on days that the location is in the lake that the reticule just below Rochester is chosen? Then again I am in the Ithaca reticule, but I don't mind traveling. -Feirgon

I agree. I added the map and the graticule to the main page, and we aren't left with many choices, while the graticule below us has the finger lakes and some great locations. I suggest that if people are planning on doing it and if the location ends up in the lake, the coordinates shift to the graticule below.Cogit0 18:46, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

I suggest that if the coordinates land on the other side of the lake (in Canada), the coordinates stand. Odds are not likely that they hit there, and if they do, it would be that much more fun of a trip.Cogit0 18:46, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

College

Should I put myself down for this graticule since I go to college here (SUNY Brockport) but don't reside here during the summer? Or just add myself to this list and remove myself from the NYC one when I come back up at the start of the semester? NoOneButMe 00:19, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

Hey, I didn't know you went to SUNY Brockport! I have no problem with you being on both, since you will likely drift between the two. The more, the merrier.Cogit0 02:40, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
Good enough for me, added myself! NoOneButMe 03:42, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

Anyone Still Doing This?

Are people here still geohashing? I really want to try this out sometime! I don't know how to start anything though. Please let me know. Thanks, Benjeye 12:32, 26 May 2010 (EDT)
