In an already harvested corn field between Hinterberg and Kneiting, just across the Danube west of Regensburg.

Surprisingly, I managed to get up at 3:40 this Sunday morning - not only early enough to meet up with Tomcat and Hans at the central station at 8:00 for an expedition to 2009-10-04 49 13, but even early enough to make it to the same day's coordinates in my home graticule before that :-)

I left home at 6:30 (wearing a jacket for the first time since the beginning of April) and cycled through the dawn over the Danube and over the Naab estuary, through Mariaort and up the hills on familiar field tracks. At 7:04, 10 minutes before theoretical sunrise, I arrived at the coordinates and took a panorama while waiting for the exact time. With the view of the actual sunrise blocked by a cloud, a relatively cold wind blowing from the west and a train to catch, I didn't wait much longer after taking the usual pictures. Got my bike out of the field, coasted down to Kneiting and cycled through Winzer and Regensburg's "green belt" to the station, where I arrived a bit later than I had meant to, but well in time for the train (which turned out to be late anyway).

Panorama at the hashpoint, a few minutes before sunrise.
