From Geo Hashing

I work as a database programmer and multi-purpose geek in the "IT-Speicher" in Regensburg, Germany, and toy around with unconventional r/c aircraft, aerial photography and some other odd digital photography techniques in my free time.

I do have a website but for the moment it is horribly outdated.

I'm into Openstreetmap and Geocaching also; these combine well with Geohashing expeditions.

I now rather frequently visit hashpoints on any day (or during the night, if necessary) if I find the time, and the coordinates happen to be reachable from Regensburg by bicycle, including the corners of the neighbor graticules:

I have also been seen in other graticules a few times, due to vacations and dedicated geohashing trips.

I can be found idling around in #geohashing most of the time, and I've built a program to generate Maps and Statistics about graticules and expeditions on the wiki.

dawidi so far has achieved Level 7 of the Minesweeper Geohash achievement by visiting coordinates in Landshut, Germany and 7 of the surrounding graticules.

Tomcat, Hans and dawidi earned the Virgin Graticule Achievement by being the first to reach any hashpoint in the (49, 13) graticule, here, on 2009-10-04.

dawidi earned the Multihash Achievement by reaching the (49, 12) and (49, 13) geohashes on 2009-10-04.

dawidi earned the Sunrise Geohash Achievement by reaching the (49, 12) geohash on 2009-10-04 to smile at the first rays of sun to cross the horizon.

dawidi earned the Multihash Achievement by reaching the (54, 9) and (54, 10) geohashes on 2009-08-27.

Schorhr, AE and dawidi earned the Water Geohash Achievement by reaching the (54, 10) geohash on 2009-08-27 by a bright orange pedal boat.

dawidi earned the Virgin Graticule Achievement by being the first to reach any hashpoint in the (54, 9) graticule, here, on 2009-08-27.

dawidi earned the Multihash Achievement by reaching the (49, 12) and (49, 11) geohashes on 2009-07-21.

dawidi earned the Birthday Geohash Achievement by reaching the (49, 12) geohash on his 27th birthday, 2009-07-21.

dawidi earned the Calendar girl achievement by taking compromising photographs for public consumption at the (49, 12) geohash on 2009-07-21.

dawidi earned the Border geohash achievement on 2009-06-26 by crossing the Germany-Denmark border to reach the (54, 8) geohash.

dawidi earned the Virgin Graticule Achievement by being the first to reach any hashpoint in the (54, 8) graticule, here, on 2009-06-24.

dawidi earned the Holy hash achievement by reaching the sacred (54, 8) location, which is the village's graveyard, on 2009-06-24.

dawidi certifies that Emma and Christian Carstensen of nearby Soholm earned the Coffin Potato Achievement by occupying a coffin at the (54, 8) geohash from 1973-09-24 and 1984-02-19, respectively, to 2009-06-24.
