This user earned the Earliest geohasher achievement
by arriving first at the ({{{latitude}}}, {{{longitude}}}) geohash on [[{{{date}}} {{{latitude}}} {{{longitude}}}|{{{date}}}]].

Award yourself this ribbon for this achievement.

The Earliest geohasher achievement can be claimed by submitting photographic (or otherwise digitally expressible) proof of being the first geohasher at an official (not alternate, not even if it's got 50 votes) geohashing meetup. The Earliest geohasher achievement is only awarded for meetups where more than one geohasher shows up, travelling independently from different start points. (As the single-geohasher exclusion was not stated prior to 2008-09-11, some awards have been granted for single-geohasher meetups; these awards are not to be revoked.)

If you arrive prior to the official meetup time (4pm local time), you're expected to make a sign or otherwise prepare the area for other geohashers. While arriving late is not encouraged, if you plan to arrive early, but actually arrive late due to blizzards, volcanoes, or the like, you may qualify for the MNIMB achievement. (And you may qualify for both, if the weaker ones make it at all!)

Arrive first *and* meet other geohashers. There seems to be a consensus that arriving first and clearing off without meeting other geohasher/s does not count. Think of this ribbon as a reward for getting to the coordinates early and waiting patiently for stragglers to arrive. It's very rewarding to be there to welcome people when they arrive at a meetup.

This award may be awarded multiple times in the same graticule, once per day, and is distinct from the Virgin Graticule achievement.
