Location

The easiest Jena Geohash ever is coming up and the weather's gonna be nice! We'll probably walk there... slowly.

Plans

Meet at the point at 5:30 pm. Cake and sweeties would be nice. Anyone for Twister? ;)

Participants

Expedition

Of course we were there and we were a lot. As many people as I have never seen before on a hashpoint: seven. Ok, there are pictures in the internet, that suggest things like this happen, but in the internet there are photos of aliens too. So before wasting time in writing reports for nothing, I should first have a look at the hashpoint checklist to verify, whether it really was one.

  • From September to March it is impossible to reach after work hashpoints before sunset: ---
  • The last 50 meters take minimum 5% of the whole time to get to the point: ---
  • There will be mud on your way and you will have to ford it: +++
  • Juja will send you there … : +++
  • … but she will have no time to come there herself: ---
  • You will never ever be supplied with cake and tea at the point: ---

Now let’s have a look at the result: 4 times missed, 2 times fulfilled, so it was no hashpoint. Ups, I forgot one thing:

  • At the end, Jens will have to write a report: +++ +++ +++

Let’s count again: 4 times missed, 5 times fulfilled. Yes, it has been a hashpoint, were we have been today.

Then let’s start the report: There is nothing to say about the way, because there was no way, worth to be mentioned. We met at 5:30 pm at the point to have a picnic, provided by Juja. It was the second geohash for Bergie and the first one for a new geohasher Vince. Reinhard - Mr. 300 mm - took some photos and at the end we played Twister to get new achievements for some of us – I can’t believe I really did this.

and many more?

...Well, what if not this one: Juja first cycled past the point twice the day before (to and back from training), then again in lunch break to check if it's dry enough for a picknick and finally the Geohashing group came there, some of them not even using a bike or bringing their dog... so:
