The Expedition

TheOneRing

The weather was forecasted to be nice, and considering the autumn, maybe the last for a long time. So, I took the chance.

I looked on the time table to get a train, which should take me to Kirchberg-Alchenflüh to get to the geohash in time, and it worked. From the train station it was about 2.3km as the bird flies, and by foot it was only 3.5km. On my way I passed several farms, which sold potatoes and apples from own harvest (the latter very delicious); the fields were of course already harvested.

I reached the geohash a couple of minutes before 4pm, it was in the middle of a forest. The surroundings looked accordingly. Unfortunately, no one else showed up, so I left after a short break. Because every forest looks somehow the same, I took some photographs from outside.

On my way back I saw some species of the European fauna, which I must have missed in my biology lessons in school: llamas. Some of them followed me after taking photos, maybe they wanted to sign them.

Edit - 2013-03-17: I think if nobody posted his/her expedition up to now, he/she never will.
