Plans

KerrMcF - Expedition 1

I had been regularly checking the daily points whilst I was at Center Parcs to see if any would be accessible during my stay. After none of them had landed within the border for the resort, I decided to do the two accessible retrohashes. These would be easy-to-access points and would be done shortly before leaving the resort to drive back home. The first of these two expeditions is reported here, and the second is linked below in the expedition section.

KerrMcF - Expedition 2

I'll be at Center Parcs again this May, and I think it makes sense to revisit this point to see if anything (specifically the tree) has changed. I'm not sure when in the holiday I will attempt this, but I definitely will. I'll probably also attempt the same second point as last time after this one, which will be linked in the expedition report.

Expedition

KerrMcF (Retro, 2024-01-05)

After finishing lunch at The Pancake House near the Village Centre, my sister and I walked the short distance to the point, located between 10 and 21 Fell View. It was very simple to reach this location and took maybe 10 minutes in total to do so. My sister and I were quite confused upon reaching the point; we were relatively far off of the nearby paths in an area that nobody would need to access for any reason and yet, despite this, surrounded by other plant life and small trees, was one small tree that happened to be decorated as a Christmas Tree. There was seemingly no reason for this, and it wasn't in an area that would be seen by anyone other than those who were at that specific point. The strangest thing about this is that the tree was the exact location of the point. Perhaps a ninja from another time?

We left this point and carried on to the second of our retro expeditions...

KerrMcF (Retro, 2024-05-25)

My sister and I had some spare time in the early afternoon for a walk, during which we decided to revisit the retrohashes from before. We reached the geohash at around 3:15pm and found that not only was the tree from last time no longer decorated, it wasn't even there! The point was as easy to reach as last time, and we had no issues in getting there.

As with last time, we left the point and continued our walk to 1987-12-15 54 -2.
