From Geohashing

I like it! -- relet 16:27, 30 December 2008 (UTC)

OMG, that is so awesome! I resolve to take more pictures in 2009. -Robyn 20:04, 30 December 2008 (UTC)

I love it so much. But... there's a typo in your second caption: "geohash" is spelled wrong. </super-picky> --joannac 21:51, 30 December 2008 (UTC)

You should see the previous video I made, I forgot the "r" in astronomy. Darn astonomy! (thepiguy)

I wonder if someone with talent and either vast amounts of spare time or a great need to procrastinate, could produce something like that made of selected expeditions from the whole year. It would have to include the most easterly, westerly northerly and southerly and a montage of the successively colder ones. -Robyn 22:03, 30 December 2008 (UTC)

Oooh! I have both spare time and the desire to get nothing done! The main problem is that those were my only two good geohashing songs. Got any ideas? (thepiguy)

That sounds like rather a lot of effort. If something like that were to be done, people should be able to nominate photos and expeditions to include, then the poor compiler will have a bit less work to do. What did you use to make it, by the way, Piguy? -- UnwiseOwl 22:26, 30 December 2008 (UTC)

Picking the images is really the only hard part. I used Pinnacle Studio, version 10 I think. It does a decent job, but it's a little more trouble than it's worth. It has this nice feature where it becomes unresponsive when you try and save you work. (thepiguy)

Thanks guys! It's nice to know someone else enjoyed it! :D Thepiguy 04:08, 31 December 2008 (UTC)

In response to your question, we all live on the wiki and refresh Recentchanges religiously. Or... maybe that's just me... --joannac 04:17, 31 December 2008 (UTC)

Not me, that's for sure... -- UnwiseOwl 04:18, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
