Woo! Welcome! What graticule do you live in? -Robyn 04:45, 25 April 2009 (UTC)

43 -79, also known as Toronto, Ontario. Just went on my first hash, had a great time. 2009-04-26 43 -79. Hopefully I'll be able to go on a whole lot more. Thanks for the welcome.

Hooray! Way to bring back Toronto! That city is seriously underrepresented. Do us proud! Thepiguy 14:24, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

I'll do my best.

On my uniform[edit]

Oooh navy. --joannac 02:45, 11 May 2009 (UTC)

Oh yes, and I fully intend at some point earning my Formal Attire Achievement by wearing my dress uniform.
Hot. Welcome to geohashing :) --joannac 02:53, 11 May 2009 (UTC)
Thanks. I got a real buzz out of hitting "0 m" on my GPS today. I think I'm hooked. Next step is to get my very understanding girlfriend to join me.
So, about that Formal Attire Achievement.... ;) Greenslime 02:30, 16 September 2010 (UTC)
I made a little rule for myself that the expedition needs to be on a day where I'm wearing my dress uniform, and I'm not dressing up for no reason (other than to get a hash). I've done a hash in uniform (see 2010-02-02 43 -79) but sadly, not my dress uniform. The next day I'm wearing my dress uniform is Wednesday... maybe then? Splitdipless 12:34, 16 September 2010 (UTC)

Oh, and I wore my combat uniform to assault the woods near Warden station on this expedition: 2011-03-04 43 -79. Splitdipless 00:20, 5 March 2011 (EST)

Wore my summer semi-formal uniform to a hash on this expedition: 2011-09-27 43 -79. Splitdipless 13:04, 29 September 2011 (EDT)

Congratulations on today's success! -Robyn 03:58, 17 July 2009 (UTC)

Thanks Robyn. It was an easy one, but in the wrong direction with an otherwise busy schedule. Glad I could squeek it in.Splitdipless 04:00, 17 July 2009 (UTC)

I feel like I don't know enough about the decicule (it's mostly water, too) to give it a name. The most appropriate name I can think of is Lakeshore West, but if you have any ideas, feel free to name it. -Lessica

Geohashing Planning[edit]

I'm in Toronto for a month now and finally there's a geohash in reasonable distance to downtown. Are you interested? --HiroProtagonist 15:40, 30 September 2010 (UTC)

And here's the next Toronto geohash accessible to me, do you want to meet up? 2011-03-04 43 -79 --HiroProtagonist 11:41, 4 March 2011 (EST)

Last Man Standing[edit]

I think you may be the "Last Man Standing" on 2010-12-09.

I'm going to give it another couple weeks. I thought I was Last Man Standing once before and about a month and a half afterwards, other expeditions popped up. Thanks for reminding me though. Splitdipless 09:02, 11 January 2011 (EST)
You are right. I'm aware of at least one newbie with one or more expeditions who is still lurking. Editing a wiki like this for the first time is not that easy for non-computing people. I wonder if the site gurus could produce a form based expedition reporting tool.
The Expedition page is pretty good at setting out the instructions, and if you leave the category tag at the bottom, there will be someone who will swing by to help out. Oh, and don't forget to add four 'tildas' after an entry like you did, just so we know who posted: Like when I want to know who to thank for pointing out I got last man standing. :) Splitdipless 16:04, 17 January 2011 (EST)

Thank-you, who-ever you are. I've gone ahead and claimed the achievement.Splitdipless 09:05, 25 January 2011 (EST)

Geohashing day 2011[edit]

(Geohashing day plans) Interested? -Srs0 09:56, 20 May 2011 (EDT)

What are you doing on Monday (July 25, 2011)? Want to try for a globalhash? If so, tell me! I'm trying to figure out a way to make it. If you're thinking of driving out, I'd love to join (and would definitely split any costs)! In case you didn't see it, the globalhash is linked below. -Srs0 13:45, 22 July 2011 (EDT),-81.352655%29

I'd need to take the day off to do that, and considering that I just 2 weeks of military leave, I don't think work would be very keen on me missing another day. Splitdipless 14:24, 22 July 2011 (EDT)

Too bad. Alright, maybe another time! -Srs0 14:26, 22 July 2011 (EDT)
