From Geohashing

Hey there, seems like the names of the pictures you recently uploaded (containing "2011-02-28") and the names you used in your expedition pages (containing "2011-08-22") don't quite add up. The fix should be easy though (I suggest keeping the file names and just change the expedition page).

Also can you do me a personal favor and use the categories when uploading pictures (see the "Note" section at the bottom of the upload page)? Thanks :) - Mampfred 08:57, 23 August 2011 (EDT)

Thanks for catching the photo issue. That's what I get for not catching it the first time and then duplicating it. Is there a way to change the names?

Don't think so (you could re-upload, but that's a waste), just use the "wrong" names in your expedition page though, who cares about names if the categories are correct :) - Mampfred 10:27, 24 August 2011 (EDT)

Also, I will use categories. Thanks again for the help as I get used to all this.

You, sir, are on FIRE!!! Michael5000 15:38, 14 October 2011 (EDT)

Thank you! Considering the source, that is quite a compliment! RocketMac 14:50, 14 October 2011 (CDT)

Hi, I completed your challenge by visiting a geohash in Berlin, Germany. I think you want to to add

by having their challenge met by TheOneRing in (New) Berlin on 2011-12-19.

to your achievement list. TheOneRing 20:44, 4 January 2012 (UTC)

I think you messed up the dates when you uploaded 2012-01-19 42 -87. I think it should have been 2012-01-18 42 -87. Cjk 04:17, 19 January 2012 (EST)

Yup. Thanks for the catch. I'm sad to say that's not the first time I've done that when I logged something after midnight. RocketMac 11:31, 19 January 2012 (EST)

I use Geohash Droid for android. Take the pictures, go back to geohash droid, wait for GPS to stabilize and then Wiki, upload picture. The default is to overlay the images with current position, so you have to remomber to click it off if you upload later.Cjk 13:42, 21 January 2012 (EST)

How would you feel about a meetup at this Saturday's target (1/28/2012) in the Kenosha, Wisconsin graticule (42, -87)? -- Evil Uncle Nomo 11:24, 27 January 2012 (EST)

Would love to, but not sure I can. What time were you thinking? The default 4pm? --RocketMac 18:03, 27 January 2012 (EST)
That's what I was thinking, but I'm open to other options. -- Evil Uncle Nomo 18:09, 27 January 2012 (EST)
If you were going to go anyway, please do and I'll try to join you. If you were only looking for the meetup, please don't count on me, but I will REALLY try. I'm also hoping to convince a co-worker who is intrigued to come as well. --RocketMac 18:11, 27 January 2012 (EST)
The Wife and I will be there. If we see you, great! If not, we'll try again some Saturday when the geohash falls near the Illinois/Wisconsin border. -- Evil Uncle Nomo 18:29, 27 January 2012 (EST)

Next time you're in my neck of the woods and thinking about geohashing, get in touch! I'd love to have a meet-up! :) -Haberdasher 18:49, 19 June 2012 (EDT)

TRON Achievement

Congrats on the TRON Achievement. It even looks square like in the movies!Cjk 18:38, 6 February 2012 (EST)

Thanks. That has been months in the making trying to find a hashpoint I could drive-through and map a safe route home. RocketMac 12:06, 7 February 2012 (EST)

Sunday in 43 -87

Hey RocketMac, wanted to find out if you're going to head to Sunday's hash. If you are, we should agree on a time to meet at the park. Hezekiah 17:06, 13 July 2012 (EDT)

I would love to join you, but I am in Las Vegas until middle of next week. Hope we can catch each other soon. RocketMac 17:40, 13 July 2012 (EDT)
Does that mean you're back now? Bill and I are going to visit the 43,-88 hashpoint in Delafield today. It would be great to meet you! --starbird 14:47, 21 July 2012 (EDT)
Clearly I was unable to attend. Hope to catch up with you sometime. RocketMac 13:16, 23 July 2012 (EDT)

(Unindenting 'cause why not)

How about this Sunday's? Weather certainly doesn't seem like it'll be an issue, with a thankfully lower temperature than a month ago. Hezekiah 13:44, 10 August 2012 (EDT)

Ugh, sorry I missed it. Stayed out until 4:30 AM Saturday night, so wasn't exactly up to doing much at all today. Hezekiah 21:23, 12 August 2012 (EDT)
No worries. Didn't make it myself due to complications. RocketMac 11:43, 18 August 2012 (EDT)

Hi, it's OtherJack

I'm in town thru Thanksgiving Saturday (posted on the Chicago talk page as well). Attempting 2012-11-17 41 -87 tomorrow, and open to going for more while I'm here! -- OtherJack 17:30, 16 November 2012 (EST)

Wisconsin plurality

Hope you're having a good hash! Right now at 2013-05-21, there are only 4 Geohashing Day expeditions posted, and two of them are in Wisconsin. Hooray for us! Swensonj (talk) 20:53, 21 May 2013 (EDT)

New reports

Hi! I saw you had quite a few expeditions last year. I was wondering if you had pictures to go with them? I'm looking through expedition reports with no categories, and I found a bunch that you'd made.

Thanks! -- Jevanyn (talk) 10:34, 6 March 2015 (EST)

Hi, Jevanyn. That is exactly the hold-up. I took too long to document them all and I hit a snag getting all the photos together.

I expect to get the photos and finish the reports in the next week or two on the outside.

Thanks! -- RocketMac (talk) 15:20, 6 March 2015 (EST)
