Welcome

Welcome to the geohashing community! That's the best user name I've seen for quite some time.

It's too bad your first attempt was thwarted by the finitude of time – it happens to the best of us, and work is a much better reason than, say, cake. Nevertheless, you should set up a planning page if you plan to do an expedition, like so. It's a much better documentation than a graticule page entry and will be seen by other hashers if they arise in or visit your graticule (the great wise Sourcerer has been known to show up all over England), greatly improving your chances of a meet-up.

And remember: A failed expedition is equally cool as a successful expedition, a successful expedition is slightly cooler than a non-executed expedition plan and a non-executed expedition plan is waaay cooler than nothing. Being held from going on an expedition will only in very rare cases lead to public shaming and flogging. :D

Tuesday

Hello Mr Sock. Welcome to geohashing. I wonder if you've seen tomorrow's hashpoints (ie Tuesday 25 Feb)? They're up near Cambridge but should be very easy -- the Northampton graticule point is right outside the Belfry Hotel in Cambourne, and the Cambridge graticule point is only a few miles away in a field just off a footpath. I was planning to go to both (from Cambridge) so if you might make it I'll look out for you, or match my times to yours. Either way, happy hashing... :-) — Benjw  {talk} 10:55, 24 February 2014 (EST)
