Consider adding your expedition pages to your watchlist, so you will see comments directly and people won't need to put an additional message on your user talk page (as I did). You can do this manually by selecting the appropriate tab above, or automatically by making it a default in your preferences. There you can also set up an email notification, which I find really useful.
