From Geohashing

Welcome, new Dutchie :D

It's always fun to see new hashers from the low countries. Maybe you can meet-up with Shevek, who's been active in your graticule lately. --CO2 16:40, 27 April 2012 (EDT)

Hey, more alive Dutch people! :D I'll give Shevek a push one of these days - maybe he's up to exploring Leeuwarden together. Elwingelfje 07:08, 28 April 2012 (EDT)

Hi there! I'd love to go to Leeuwarden for the virgin graticule with you. ;-) Also, if you are sort of like going from Groningen to Assen and back today, and haven't left yet, I'd like to come along. Unfortunately I'm unable to go there on my own now, as I still have things to do today, for which I don't have the time if I go hitch-hiking. --Shevek 08:25, 6 May 2012 (EDT)

Hello! Unfortunately i am with my parents today, which mens that I will be going to Assen but from a different direction. Another time maybe? Elwingelfje
Do you have time tomorrow? The hash for the Leeuwarden graticule is on land, not even farmland, but not so close either. I may finish work at 13:00, but it may also be 17:00 (I'm a back-up; if I'm needed, it'll be later), though, so I can't go early. If you can't go, I think I'll go hitch-hiking, which is fun, too. :-) --Shevek 10:08, 21 May 2012 (EDT)
No - I need to work tomorrow! Such a shame. I have to work from 11.30 - 20.00, which is kinda forbidding. Have fun :) Elwingelfje 11:24, 21 May 2012 (EDT)

Ok, one more try: today (saturday), the hash is in the Eemskanaal. I'm planning to go there with a surf board. Do you want to come? :-) No guarantee that you won't get another "my kingdom for a boat"-prize, though... --Shevek 18:53, 29 June 2012 (EDT)

We don't have much luck in planning... I'm going for a hike today for the entire day, no idea yet when I will be back but not before 5 o'clock or so. Good luck :)

How about tomorrow's hash near Adorp? I'm planning to go in the morning, but if it's better for you, midnight (start of the day, not the end) is fine for me as well. --Shevek 10:00, 12 July 2012 (EDT) You don't seem to be around. No matter. The field isn't accessible anyway. However, monday the 52,6 hash in in Hoogeveen. Do you feel like going there and visiting the forest in Dwingelderveld afterward? --Shevek 12:26, 13 July 2012 (EDT)

Hi there! I just got back from holiday (which is the reason why I wasn't around :) ). But now I'm up and kicking and ready to do some more geohashing as soon as a good hash falls. Elwingelfje 07:06, 23 July 2012 (EDT)
I thought so. Hope you had a nice holiday. Now let's hope we can soon meet each other. :-) --Shevek 03:35, 24 July 2012 (EDT)

Another very last minute try: this afternoon, around 14:00, I'll (try to) be in Tolbert. If you have time, I can meet you there. :-)

Ok, let's try this on time (as far as that's possible with geohashing) this time. :-) Tomorrow's hash is in a forest near Annen, which seems to be publicly accessible. Would you like to go there with me? Shevek 11:38, 8 November 2012 (EST)

I'm not a postcrosser myself (and don't really intend to become one), but I would like to send you a hashcard. I don't have your e-mail address though, so I'll use this channel instead. My e-mail is all over the internet anyway, so I don't mind posting it here as well: shevek@fmf.nl. Please send me your address, and I'll send you a card at some point during a trip. :-) Shevek (talk) 12:34, 13 March 2013 (EDT)

Just a question. Why do you specify eidition withou GPS? It appear to me that you have some sort of positioning device that as GPS capabilities. It does not need to be a dedicated GPS. --Palmpje (talk) 16:29, 9 June 2013 (EDT)

I do have a phone with GPS, but I rarely use it. I use the Google map to look where the hash is and when I think I'm there I've reached the hashpoint. I'm looking at buying a GPS device but I find they're quite expensive... Shame you didn't have time to go this saturday! Elwingelfje (talk) 16:40, 9 June 2013 (EDT)
