From Geohashing

Hi Josh, and welcome to the wiki! What corner of 52,-0 are you in? I'm in Cambridge but I frequently make forays across the border if the hashpoints look interesting. Let me know if there are any hashes you are thinking of making, and I'll try my best to join you -- it's always great to meet as many interesting people as possible. Hope you see you around. — Benjw  {talk} 17:26, 9 September 2012 (EDT)

Hi Ben, thanks for the welcome, Currently I'm in Stanwick (near the middle bottom of the graticule), moved here from thrapston last week and will be moving to Oundle (which is near the centre of the graticule) next week. Then on the 19th I'll be heading back down to Swansea University over in 51,-3 or so I think. I will hopefully be going to tomorrow's geohash near Oundle, it looks pretty easy to reach! Hope to see you around :) --Dr-spangle 17:48, 9 September 2012 (EDT)
Ooh, the one in Glatton village? I was thinking about that one, it looks so easy. What time were you planning? I'll happily try to fit in with your plans if you'd like to meet up. I should be home from work around 12 or 1 and have all afternoon free. — Benjw  {talk} 17:57, 9 September 2012 (EDT)
Yeah, I haven't done any geohashing since October last year, and figured I would check it out again on a whim, and it looks pretty darned easy. I think I'll be cycling from Oundle at about 1pm, so I should arrive sometime around 2pm I think, probably a bit later giving me time to get sufficiently lost. Will probably sit around and read for a bit before cycling back, so anytime around then is cool :P --Dr-spangle 18:38, 9 September 2012 (EDT)
Great - I'll aim for about 2pm, then. See you then. — Benjw  {talk} 23:56, 9 September 2012 (EDT)

More hashpoints

Hi. Hope you got home ok the other day. Tomorrow's hashpoints are almost an exact repeat of what we attempted to do on Weds! However my bike isn't repaired yet and I may even have to drive to Guildford for the weekend, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to do any hashing. Look at Monday's, though -- it's tailor-made for you! In a lay-by on a minor road only 7 miles from Oundle! Hope you're free to go; I'll be looking out for it. — Benjw  {talk} 12:49, 14 September 2012 (EDT)

Yeah, there was little hope of me doing Thursday or Friday's geohash, I slept most of Thursday :P I had work on Saturday and Sunday too, but Monday's does look nice and close. I have an optician's appointment in the morning, but I should be able to set off from Oundle anytime after 1pm or so --Dr-spangle 15:31, 16 September 2012 (EDT)
Excellent; I shall look out for the report. Sorry I don't think I will be able to join you tomorrow; am thinking of cycling to the Cambridge hashpoint if the weather's ok, but that will take all afternoon. Good luck with yours -- it should at least be reachable! — Benjw  {talk} 17:57, 16 September 2012 (EDT)
