Well, hello to all who come here. :-) Basil (talk) 02:17, 2 November 2013 (EDT)

You didn't ruin a thing this weekend... our DST time traveling was a long shot anyway. See you at a hash sometime! -- AeroIllini (talk) 09:19, 5 November 2013 (EST)

Any interest? Not far from your neck of the woods, methinks. We are shooting for a 4:00 meetup; see discussion on the expedition page. --Thomcat (talk) 16:14, 16 November 2013 (EST)

Too busy this evening. I hope to make the one in Snoqualmie tomorrow, though. Basil (talk) 17:53, 16 November 2013 (EST)

Well, I caught some kind of stomach flu, so I didn't make it. Still sick, so I can't attempt the Snoqualmie one today. -- Basil (talk) 19:40, 18 November 2013 (EST)

The Gizmo

A tip for a new Hasher...

Go get yourself the Geohash Droid app from the Google Play store. It's the one with the xkcd stick figure ("Cueball") in the icon. It has some fancy features that require the data to be flowing, like instant wiki updates and a bearing/range to the hash point, but the feature you will likely use is its ability to take photos and stamp them with the date, time, and GPS coordinates, which you can then upload to the wiki at your leisure.

Sorry I missed your first hash! See you at another one. -AeroIllini (talk) 21:17, 25 November 2013 (EST)

I've got that app on my gizmo. Since I can't afford the phone-connection, I don't know how much use it will be. I'm especially intrigued by the upload feature. Can that be done over Wifi? I thought it was a telephone-only feature. Well, next expedition, I'll give that a try. Thanks for the info! Basil (talk) 17:31, 26 November 2013 (EST)
