I am 27 year-old father-of-two, originally from Cwmbran in South Wales, but now based in Carlisle, Cumbria

I'm currently studying to become a Learning Disabilities Nurse.

Back-story... (or something)

I'm a long-time reader of xkcd, and saw The Algorithm when it was originally published on the site a few years ago. However, I was unaware of the actual phenomena of GeoHashing until my lunch-break on 5th March 2012, when myself and fellow student nurse Matingslinkys stumbled across the Wiki whilst surfing the web and decided we were going to make this a hobby!

Expeditions to date

2012-03-05 54 -3 (with Matingslinkys) - To a large boggy field somewhere near Uldale, in Cumbria. Fun trip, for a first go!

2012-03-06 54 -3 (with Matingslinkys) - To a darkened field, around 2-3 miles north of Wigton, in Cumbria. First GPS Tracklog-proven hash!

2012-03-15 54 -2 (with Matingslinkys, Clarissa and my two children) - To a patch of heathland, near Coal Wood, in Cumbria

2012-03-16 54 -3 (with Matingslinkys) - To a field (with a surprisingly open gate) near Fingland, in Cumbria

Achievements to date

RunawayBomber earned the Land geohash achievement by reaching the (54, -3) geohash on 2012-03-05.

RunawayBomber (with Matingslinkys) earned the Virgin Graticule Achievement by being the first to reach any hashpoint in the (54, -3) graticule, here, on 2012-03-06.

RunawayBomber earned the Consecutive geohash achievement by reaching 2 consecutive hash points starting on 2012-03-05.

RunawayBomber and Matingslinkys earned the Picnic achievement by eating crisps and sandwiches at the (54, -2) geohash on 2012-03-15.

RunawayBomber earned the Drag-along achievement by dragging Clarissa to the (54, -2) geohash on 2012-03-15.
