From Geohashing

I had my first outing yesterday (Sunday, Sep 16) to a local GeoHash coordinate. It was within my graticule (45° North, 120° West), but I didn't quite get to the location. I got within 0.23 miles of the hash point, but it was on the wrong side of a barbed wire fence. The other side was farmed wheat fields and the beginning of an enormous wind farm. I did have a lot of fun enjoying sights along the way where I haven't visited before here in my county.

2012 09 26 I'm going to try today's GeoHash location - it's a Wednesday and the location is within about 15 road miles from home, so it's a good choice. It looks from the map to be out in the farmlands... but then, what isn't? (Except forest, of course.) [wink]
