I found about about geohashing in November 2012, at the same time as my boyfriend, who himself discovered geohashing from the XKCD blog.
[edit] My Graticules
- I've lived most of my life in the Lawrence/Topeka, Kansas graticule. I was born in Topeka and did my undergraduate work at the University of Kansas in Lawrence.
- Now I'm a grad student at the University of Chicago and live in the Chicago, Illinois graticule.
