From Geo Hashing
xkcd-reader from germany, living in west Hamburg. In times of global warming, I refuse to waste fuel on Geohashing, so I decided to get to Hashes in range by bike. For your information, as of July 2008, standard fuel (91 ROZ) is 1.55 EUR per Litre ^= 2.53 AUD per Litre ^= 2.45 USD per Litre ^= 9.27 USD per US-Gallon in Germany.
You can speak to me in the #geohashing IRC channel or at my Teamspeak (teamspeak://hehoe.de). I can have a look at your geohashing oriented PHP, C++ or Python code (and there is a small possibility that I can improve it).
[edit] Contributions
I run the Google Maps service for generating overviews containing geohashing locations.
I adapted Douglas Adams' "Nad": In geohashing, you call it Geonad.
I converted Randall's Geohashing logo into a vector format image. And drew the Bicycle Geohash Award ribbon image myself.
This wxPython powered App alerts me whenever todays geohash is close.
[edit] Statistics
Travelling by bike only, my range is:
9.60707 < longitude < 10
53.54037 < latitude < 53.67906

|
| 06. Jul. 2008

|
| 10. Aug. 2008

| And it was raining again...
|
| 11. Aug. 2008

| Raining again...
|
