Hello, World^H^H^H^H^HGraticule.
I finally got around to visiting a geohash, courtesy a Couch-Potato honorable mention location, 569 meters from my front door, in the middle of a less-than-exciting suburban development lawn. And on foot, imagine that!
Just for kicks, this was done without batteries, with location pinpointed based on a tree and the 2 smokestacks of the building just to the north, and at midnight (arriving at the location some time between 12:00am and 12:02am: sans batteries, and sans flashlight, I could not see my watch).
