Announcement: From Tuesday 27 May 2008, a new algorithm rule is in effect to allow for consistent calculation of geohash locations in time zones where the Dow opens too late to be used. This does not affect the Americas. For more information, see 30W Time Zone Rule and the official blag post.

- Actually, MediaWiki:Sitenotice is only editable by sysops, of which there aren't many (and they're usually busy doing other things). So that may not work so well. --Tim P 05:43, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
