A Tale of Two Hashes Challenge

Grüß dich! I've been waiting a long time for this one! Today's -37, 145 hash (East Melbourne) fell in Heidelberg - right next to the Heidelberg Train Station! This should be pretty easy for one of you to match up with a hash in your beautiful city. Good luck!

Kozz issued a challenge for the Tale of Two Hashes achievement
by geohashing in a place named Heidelberg from the (-37, 145) geohash on 2011-12-18.

Thank you! I've been hoping for somebody to post that challenge, considering how many Heidelbergs are out there all over the world. It would be extra cool if the next hashpoint in Heidelberg lies next to Heidelberg station, too. ;) --ilpadre 04:17, 18 December 2011 (EST)

2012-01-14 (+/- one or two days)

I'll be at Heidelberg on 2012-01-15 and probably will go there a bit earlier. Unlike last year, I definitely can't really make any plans in advance yet. It might be a visit for a few days just as well as it might happen that it's being cut down to a daytrip (in which case hashing would be quite unlikely). If anyone around is interested in a meetup on e.g. saturday 2012-01-14, I'll see what is possible. --Ekorren 04:06, 5 January 2012 (EST)

Thomcat will be traveling from Frankfurt to Nürnberg on Sunday, and is considering the Mannheim geohash for this day (near a shopping center). Interested? Reply on my talk page. --Thomcat (talk) 11:07, 21 February 2014 (EST)

Is there any achievement ribbon for "the four different groups didn't meet" (2014-04-20)? If not: We really should create one! :) --Q-Owl (talk) 04:34, 15 May 2014 (EDT)

IMHO it's not really an achievement to not meet people you could have met. But you can always create your own Gratuitous ribbon. --Ekorren (talk) 07:02, 15 May 2014 (EDT)

Tomorrow the hashpoint will fall into the french part of our beloved graticule. For the first time ever (or at least since geohashing exists). I can offer a free ride from Speyer. DODO (talk)

2015-01-09 through 2015-01-12

I'll be at Heidelberg a few days. If someone around there plans to go hashing (public transport or walk geohashes only), I might consider to join. Saturday and monday all day, friday evening, sunday possibly spontaneous if close. --Ekorren (talk) 03:33, 8 January 2015 (EST)

The only (halfway) realistic aim would be 2015-01-11 in Angelbachtal. It's an hour by public transport from HD and I could go there by bull. Just tell me if you're interested (and able to come), and I'll see if the weather allows the ride.DODO (talk)
Sorry, but on sunday this is definitely too far. --Ekorren (talk) 10:53, 10 January 2015 (EST)

2015-02-02 (monday)

Both OSM and Google maps place the railway tunnel "Neuer Schlossbergtunnel" between Heidelberg Hbf and Heidelberg-Altstadt almost exactly under the hash. This means that people could score the rare Going deep geohash achievement as well as the proposed Over and under achievement and possibly the Stacking achievement. Anyone interested in these? --Ekorren (talk) 18:50, 30 January 2015 (EST)

Yes, I noticed that, too, and I would love to do this. Unfortunately, I won't be in Heidelberg from Monday to Wednesday. :( --ilpadre (talk) 05:18, 1 February 2015 (EST)

Most active graticules (Expeditions)

On 2016-04-22 the Mannheim-graticule reached Atlanta for the first time (with 381 expeditions), but only for one day.
2016-05-19 Mannheim reached Atlanta again (382 expeditions).
