Talk:Lawrence/Topeka, Kansas

I'm from Kansas City, and while Topeka and Lawrence are near each other, they are two distinct places. They don't function as twin cities like Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota, for example. That said, is there any reason that there's a double graticule page like this as opposed to two separate ones? If not, I'll take care of the movings and splitings. --excellentdude 17:47, 14 April 2009 (UTC)

As many people live near the divide and intend to hash in either graticule, I recommend that you designate one of the two pages the "main" place for local geohashes, and direct people looking at the other one to check the first one as well. Kind of like Surrey/Vancouver where we DO have a split metropolitan area, but a municipality boundary happens to be very close to the meridian so we have two separate graticule names and pages. I think that's the reason why they put them together. -Robyn 17:58, 14 April 2009 (UTC)
