From Geohashing

2010-10-30 Meetup

Meet for pie, ice cream, or whatever at Kathy-Johns food and Ice Cream at 4:00pm, 643 Middle Turnpike (US Route 44) - northeast corner of US-44 and CT-195? --Seth, 2010-10-29 11:01 Eastern

I didn't see your message in time, but someday we'll meet up. Sara 16:48, 2 November 2010 (UTC)
Pro-tip: if you're going to propose an alternate, create a page for it a few days in advance, so it shows up in Current Events and then as soon after hash o'clock as possible, drag the peeron marker to the desired location, so that people checking there can see the option. -Robyn 17:50, 2 November 2010 (UTC)

Connecticon Meetup?

Hey folks, my boyfriend and I are from Ohio, but we'll be in Hartford for Connecticon. What do you think about having a meetup at the con at some point? Actually going out to Hartford's Saturday hash sounds like awesome fun, but since we're out-of-towners, there's a much higher potential for us to get lost in a strange city. A geohashing meeting at the convention center could be a happy medium. For what it's worth, I also started a thread about this in the xkcd meetup forums. --Alex, 2008-07-22 23:05
