Wird hier eigentlich noch gehasht?

Anna

-- relet 10:22, 14 January 2009 (UTC)

2009-06-27 + 2009-06-28

I'll probably be at Berlin these two days. Currently I have no plans at all what to do there, but getting bored is basically impossible at Berlin. Of course I'll hope for good hashes ;-) Also, I still need a cheap accomodation (only for the one night inbetween, I'll arrive and leave through the night).

Any offers, recommendations or comments are appreciated :) --Ekorren 11:55, 17 June 2009 (UTC)

Addition: If someone else from Baden-Württemberg is up for a Berlin weekend, I might be able to get another ticket for almost no money (from Stuttgart, Heidelberg or Frankfurt). Needs to be ordered very soon and is name-bound, though. And there is still a small risk that the whole plan is blown. --Ekorren 12:47, 17 June 2009 (UTC)

Yay, bring people! All of you are welcome to stay at relet's and my home (if you like cats). :) -- lyx 22:11, 17 June 2009 (UTC)

xkcd store

I want to order a t-shirt from xkcd but the shipping is silly for 1 shirt. Does anyone else want to order anything from there, so we can combine shipping? --Davidc 22:50, 13 August 2009 (UTC)

Last activity...

Does anybody use those links? I'd like to compress the list of local geohashers a bit (maybe to a four-column table), so we don't have to scroll that much to have a look at the Upcoming Locations section. Hessophanes 13:46, 27 August 2009 (UTC)

Fine by me, I also just reordered it so upcoming meetings is first. --davidc 17:36, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
Reordering really made sense I think. How about adding more information to the local geohashers list, like where in the graticule u live, whether u have bike / car / ticket for public transport / a GPS appliance /whatever and how much time for geohashing etc? I have seen that on several other graticule pages and think it might be useful... -HiroProtagonist 18:47, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
I've added a bit information bout me now, maybe u wanna do the same?! -HiroProtagonist

How about this? I also changed the recent activity links to show more than one page at a time. --davidc 00:53, 15 September 2009 (UTC)

Much better, thanks! Hessophanes 00:33, 16 September 2009 (UTC)

Updated and put onto the graticule page. --davidc 00:47, 16 September 2009 (UTC)

Good idea, really! Only, one question: Is area supposed to mean where u r willing to go hashing or where in Berlin you live? I think the latter makes more sense, but then what does Jerromes "All" mean? -HiroProtagonist 09:39, 16 September 2009 (UTC)
I meant the latter, the idea being you can get in touch with someone if you discover a hash near them etc. I updated the wording. --davidc 09:57, 16 September 2009 (UTC)

I've made a few more changes to hopefully improve the page, including moving the "upcoming expeditions" even further up and putting them on a green background. "Land usage" is not so useful, so I moved it down. And I moved the 2008 expeditions to a sub-page. Let me know if you disagree with any of these changes! --davidc 01:27, 17 September 2009 (UTC)

No disagreement at all on my part, I appreciate your changes. Hessophanes 01:35, 17 September 2009 (UTC)
I like what I see. :) -- relet 15:41, 25 September 2009 (UTC)

You are now tied for second place with Seattle, Washington in the category of Total Expeditions with a total of 72.

Congratulations on that. I'm afraid to ask what happened to Atlanta. -Robyn 21:22, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
Nothing happened to Atlanta. Berlin just needs to add another 100 geohashes to catch us. --NWoodruff 21:33, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
Ohh, tied for second. Duh. I read it and thought first and second as opposed to second and third. Glad all is well. -Robyn 21:36, 15 January 2010 (UTC)

starbird goes to Europe

I'll be Berlin this weekend. Anyone interested in hashing Friday? --starbird 19:46, 3 May 2010 (UTC)

Whoa and aw! Did you folks totally miss this opportunity? -- relet 14:40, 4 June 2010 (UTC)

Weekend hashes

I think you people should go hashing this weekend. :D Also, the Udagawa in Feuerbachstrasse has a good reputation for serving authentic Japanese food. -- relet 14:39, 4 June 2010 (UTC)

I'll try to do both, in a before-and-after-midnight expedition. If I manage to get away from my beamline at BESSY. --ilpadre 06:50, 5 June 2010 (UTC) (ilpadre)

Still alive? might visit

I might come to Berlin next week (possibly 2013-07-03 to 2013-07-08) or not. I won't know any earlier than monday, though. Is there still some activity in this area? Accommodation would also be appreciated ;) --Ekorren (talk) 16:30, 26 June 2013 (EDT)

Rialgar, Xeno and I are hashing occasionally in this area. However, we are all pretty busy next week, so if we make an attempt, it will be an easy hash. --Fenmar (talk) 05:39, 27 June 2013 (EDT)

Meetup 2014-12-06

Is anyone willing to do a meetup on "Nikolaus" if the hash is well reachable? I will be in Berlin for the weekend. We could also move the meetup to another location, if it would be far from Berlin. --Koryu (talk) 09:47, 4 December 2014 (EST)

2024 - Berlin Geohashing is still alive

As you can see looking at the lists of expeditions some new geohashers and some new activities have happened in the Berlin Graticule lately. The "New Berlin Geohashing Scene" is still small and not yet connected at all. If you want to help to buildt up a kind of network or if you are planning to come to Berlin just leave a message here or at my user page. Let`s Geohash! --Jens1964 (talk) 12:15, 15 March 2024 (UTC)
