From Geohashing

Almost 10 years ago, not long after I started Geohashing. I was looking for perfect places to Geohash in the world. I came across this island and started checking it out on google maps for good geohashes. I eventually came up on a spot only 33 km from your geohash spot that has a paved dead end road with a large circular paved turn around. There is a house on this dead end road about a 1km a way so I know that it would be possible to end up building a house there when I eventually retire in about 10 to 15 years. It is up a hill a few 10's of meters and is overlooking a rocky outcrop only meters to the north in the ocean. My notify program that sends me GPX turn by turn directions also includes this waypoint spot as a house marker in every GPX file that it sends me, even though there is only a picture of a house in my mind.

I was also hoping almost 10 years ago that I would be the one to make the virgin geohash, oh well. In my past I dated a woman for 4 years that spoke Portuguese so I know enough of the language to get by or arrested, depending on your point of view. It is good to see actual pictures of this island. Thanks for Geohashing. --NWoodruff (talk) 16:32, 2 January 2018 (UTC)
