From Geohashing

I checked out the osm link for this expedition and found the map completely blank apart from a vague coastal outline. Is this really the back of beyond? Are you able to record track logs? Would you be able to add detail to the OpenStreetMap project? There is a ribbon award for this. Just my thoughts. Cheers --Sourcerer (talk) 06:09, 23 August 2015 (EDT)

Oops - I checked again and I'm wrong. The road you must have followed is clearly marked. Your photo upload coordinates are crazy though, putting you on a peninsular south of Crocodile Island. This area really is blank on the map. --Sourcerer (talk) 06:18, 23 August 2015 (EDT)
I had a look at the coords again, and what it looks like is that we took the photo at the hash, but didn't have reception there. We later went for dinner at Crab Claw Beach, which is the location shown in the photo, and uploaded the evidence there. BUT it seems that the Geohashing Droid updated the photo we took with our location of where we were during the upload, rather than the photo-taking. I'll have to dig out the location data from the original photo to provide the correct proof for this hash. But yeah - a fairly remote area.Felix Dance (talk) 01:16, 26 August 2015 (EDT)
That makes sense. I've done the exact same thing. On a good day, I remember to uncheck the show coordinates box. --Sourcerer (talk) 15:38, 27 August 2015 (EDT)
