From Geohashing

Hahahaha, this is about the coolest expedition I ever read about here, even though you failed to reach the point :) -Paintedhell 03:38, 13 February 2012 (EST)

But you get to go on all these crazy Thuringian geohashes! I'm jealous - I can't seem to find any other active hashers in Seattle... --OtherJack 04:08, 13 February 2012 (EST)

(also, why do so many people use EST on here who are not anywhere near the eastern US?? As opposed to UTC or something)

EST is the timezone of the server so that is the default when you sign something. Anyway, great try on that hash! You should have had an inflatable matress with you or some other form of floatation. --Cjk 05:25, 13 February 2012 (EST)
Yeah, I thought about buying a cheap inner tube - in retrospect that would have been smart... --OtherJack 12:11, 13 February 2012 (EST)

Nice to see Seattle active again! -- Jevanyn 13:52, 22 February 2012 (EST)

2017

The lake is frozen, but not sufficiently for 200 pounds of geohasher to reach the point. --Thomcat (talk) 17:14, 7 January 2017 (UTC)

Haha, thank you for remembering this ancient failed hash attempt!! I take it you were on your own leisurely stroll around Green Lake? -- OtherJack (talk) 17:23, 7 January 2017 (UTC)
Out walking the dog. --Thomcat (talk) 13:55, 11 January 2017 (UTC)
