This was my first time doing this, so please, don't hesitate to berate me if I did something wrong.--Phogan 17:46, 8 January 2011 (EST)

No worries, you're doing it right! And welcome to the game! -- relet 19:53, 8 January 2011 (EST)
Thanks, having a blast so far. --Phogan 01:00, 11 January 2011 (EST)

To respond to your inquiry: Agriculturally speaking, I don't think treading on an empty field in early January will do any damage to future crops. The more important aspect here is the spirit of geohashing in response to private property (that is, don't trespass). I have a lot of days of cornfield locations where I am too, in Peoria, so I just don't even try to get there. If you are more bold than me, try to get permission from the owner of the field, if you can ascertain who it is that owns it. Then you can award yourself the Ambassador achievement. I'm sure you'll snag the Virgin Graticule for C.R./I.C. one of these days! --Dvdllr 00:22, 11 January 2011 (EST)

Thanks. If you guys are ever doing a meetup in Peoria, let me know. I am 100 percent new to the Midwest and wouldn't mind getting a little out of my normal range on a Saturday just for the exploration factor. --Phogan 00:59, 11 January 2011 (EST)
