For future reference, the right of way extends to include at least all of the sidewalk on public roads like that one. So you are legally allowed to take pictures anywhere within that area, though I do understand your reluctance to do so. I'm sorry I couldn't have be there. That was within relatively short biking distance from my apartment, but I was out of town this weekend. --aperfectring 15:34, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

I never meant to imply that there was any crime to it, just that sometimes residential neighborhoods have nosy residents who get suspicious at strangers who show up and start taking pictures for no obvious reason. They might be terrorists, or vandals, or burglars, or child molesters, or.... I'm not sure exactly what, but it probably isn't good! Dtobias 23:08, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
Indeed, and I figured that's what you meant. The comment was more for anyone who happens to read talk pages on random expeditions. It is something most people don't actually realize. They think their property goes all the way to the curb, when in reality, it is usually set back quite a bit more than that. --aperfectring 23:21, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
