From Geohashing

Elbie, that's awesome. We just got back from our weekend camping. I hope everything has gone well and I promise that the next geohash you arrange, if it's before the 30th of May, when I have to go back to work, I am THERE. -Robyn 00:51, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

Still waiting to see if you made it. -Robyn 16:37, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
I made it! Also, I just saw today's coordinates and am so sore that I couldn't have known beforehand that they landed about a kilometre from yesterday's expedition. *pout* - Elbie 21:07, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
I know. I thought that I hadn't refreshed the page properly. The Algorithm mocks us sometimes. -Robyn 21:09, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
Wade and I think "Amazingly Enough" is an excellent name for a kayak, better than any names I have so far come up with for mine. Where did you get your kayak? -Robyn 21:51, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
I got an Innova Safari from MEC; they had one left over from Gear Swap that I got for 20% off. On the note of kayak shopping -- Canadian Tire doesn't stock the Sevylors anymore, and none of the stores in the GVRD have any left. - Elbie 00:02, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
They don't?! Last time I talked to them, they had a truckload coming in! Good thing they had that last one for me to exchange, then. -- Rhonda 01:13, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
What? It's still in their online catalogue. I just wrote a review today. Our Sevylor kayaks are sexier, but yours obviously gets the job done in rough seas and seems to pack smaller. How did you get the bike trailer on the bus? I love your mercenary spirit of beating the other cyclists to the bus stop. Canadian Tire is going to be besieged with requests for Sevylor kayaks. Every time I take mine out in public people ask me where they can get one. Sevylor better get a new dealer in our graticule. And that is just cruel that had you missed that ferry, and stayed overnight, you would have been in position to pick up this morning's before taking the ferry back. -Robyn 02:05, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
I can easily detach the trailer from the bike; I'd do so, and then ask the driver to put the wheelchair ramp down. I could then wheel the trailer aboard and then put up the front seats, stowing it as though it was a wheelchair. And I agree about the "missing" the ferry, aurgh. - Elbie 02:17, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
Hey, you're brazen. I would have thought that treatment was reserved for actual wheelchairs. Are you going to name your kayak Amazingly Enough or can I steal that name for mine? -03:00, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
Regarding the bus stowage -- the drivers I had asked me to put it there so that it wouldn't impede people getting on or off the bus. I tried looking for alternative spots, but considering the size and shape of the trailer, that was it. And you may go ahead and take the name. - Elbie 03:23, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

Wow! Awesome pictures and possibly the most interesting set of achievements for a hash I've ever seen! I'm looking forward to the full write up.  :-) --excellentdude 22:21, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

Thanks! I'll have the expedition report up by tonight. - Elbie 00:02, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

Western BCians are very tough and very nautical. Terrific expedition. Looking forward to additional user reports on inflatable kayaks. --Bos 03:00, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

Great expedition, great report! --The ru 11:18, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
