From Geohashing

Don't say I didn't warn you... Which route were you planning to take? And where did you end up? - Danatar 07:33, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

Hi! I just read that you are thinking of buying a new GPS device, esp. for cycling. I've got Garmin Edge 305 and 705 and a lot of experience with them, so I might be able to help you with some questions, if you're interested in those devices. Hope, someday we'll meet at a bike geohash somewhere between Würzburg and Erfurt - this should really be possible (primarily on weekends) since both of us aren't afraid of longer rides. :) --Reinhard 10:48, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

Sure thing! I'm planning on meeting every one I can! I could even meet you in Jena and we could both bike from there. That way I can just follow you! Thepiguy 12:14, 31 May 2009 (UTC)
Sounds great! How long are you going to stay in Würzburg? One year? Half a year? Just not to miss the chance. Sadly, I will only have time after work on weekdays and on weekends, of course. On weekends, I sometimes stay with Manu, where her family lives, near Schleusingen, which is much closer to Würzburg.--Reinhard 14:09, 5 June 2009 (UTC)

A real GPS? Despite my love/hate relationship with the Magellan Explorist, I look at them as the real thing, and the road navigation devices as fashion accessories. I fear the German metropolis has eaten the Pi we knew. Juventas 01:44, 16 May 2009 (UTC)

You can't tell me that looking at Reinhard's Garmin Edge 705 doesn't make you jealous, if not drool! The Explorist can really only tell you where you are, which is less than helpful if you are anywhere else but where you want to be. I love my Explorist too, but some things just had to be said :p Thepiguy 12:14, 31 May 2009 (UTC)
Hehe ... I like it, too. ;) It's really impossible to get lost, if you have some kind of map in this device - as long as it's working properly.--Reinhard 14:09, 5 June 2009 (UTC)
