This area of Oklahoma provides rather sharp contrasts between urban and rural areas, providing some interesting meeting places. Notable Dates[edit]

April 19, 1995 - a sad day for the town, and the country - be glad geohashing wasn't invented yet. Had it been, a geohasher in this graticule might have been within 8 city blocks of a terrorist attack.

2016-04-03 35 -97 Lel4nd in Choctaw, pretty day, at Ten Acre Lake. Beautiful scenery and a deer stand.

2013-07-30 35 -97 Jamma in Norman, pretty day, no accompanying animals. Left a little surprise in the tree.

2010-03-06 35 -97 Bookworm656 and two friends were planning on attempting this hash, which is 50 feet into Lake Thunderbird, but were thwarted by driver's license issues and vehicle issues. We might actually attempt this hash some other time, because it seems like it would be an interesting one.
