A firetrucking VOR or something! Awesome! Actually, I guess this is the TGO (tango) VORTAC. See also: [1] and [2] --Zb 00:20, 24 March 2010 (UTC)

Actually it's exactly the one which is also shown in your first link. They call it Aichtal there, which is the municipality on the other side of the hill. According to stadtplandienst.de, which is the most reliable nationwide online service I know in that context, the "thing" is located on the area of Neckartailfingen, though.
What's the second link supposed to do? --Ekorren 09:30, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
Not that I am flight simming, but I think the second link is kind of cool. It was created by flight simmers who want to see where their fellow simulator pilots are. What it also does is this: You can put certain overlays over the maps showing airways, navigational aids, airports and the like. It gives you an idea where planes might be going -- real ones or simulated ones. You may want to try this: Zoom to the Aichtal area, click "nav" at the very bottom, indicate the type of thing you want to see in the checkboxes and click on the eye to show them... I have to remember to take a picture of the MUN VOR near Ottersberg on one of my next geohashes... You can look it up on the online tool by typing MUN into the search field (Navaid lookup), unchecking anything but "vor" and clicking on the search button, then selecting VOR-DME MUN MUNCHEN in the list... --Zb 23:16, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
