Well, while not original, the livery is already somewhat historic ;-) Nice to see an "Ürdinger" "Uerdinger"! --Zb 20:23, 22 May 2009 (UTC)

Well, yes, somehow. There has been the Chiemgau-Bahn reconstruction prototype with three vehicles (two motorcars and one cab car) which was painted in the green-white livery new local trains got during that time. The series got stopped and all other Uerdingen (with Ue!) railcars kept their old red livery. :For the Ulmer Spatz (sparrow of Ulm) historic train, some more were painted green-white, so that now there are seven museum vehicles of a kind where there only had been three originals.

If you feel up for a Schienenbus day: On a few more days this summer, it will be possible to take a very scenic daytrip that includes a red class 796 "Uerdinger", the green-white shown here, and the MAN railcar of 2009-05-01 48 8, all in semi-regular traffic (i.e.: regular weekend specials accepting all standard tickets). I'll gladly provide you with information and hints, and maybe join for part of the journey. --Ekorren 20:39, 22 May 2009 (UTC)

Good to know! We'll see how it goes... I do have fond memories of the 798 series from the times when they were used on the Filzenexpress. --Zb 20:50, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
