These are bear tracks, but we know they weren't made recently enough for the bear to be waiting around the corner for us, because they were made when the road was muddy enough to take prints and today it is bone dry and our feet leave almost no marks. Of course the bear could have come back but there are three of us and we're pretty noisy, so it will probably stay away.
