This photograph is taken from a water taxi, very near the exact centre of the Vancouver, British Columbia graticule, in Howe Sound. You can see Hope Point on Gambier Island to the left, the village of Lions Bay on the Squamish Highway along the shore, and then in the background some of the peaks of the Britannia Range, including an unusual side view of the Lions.
The proportion of water, mountains, island and road-accessible civilization visible here accurately represent our graticule.
