Category talk:Graticules by continent

Panama is usually considered to lie entirely within North America[1]. The Central America regional designation is therefore unnecessary, since Central America is a proper subset of North America. If we keep it anyway, I think we should change the name of this category to something like "Graticules by region". --starbird 09:41, 23 April 2009 (UTC)

Re Panama: Really? That's a political decision on their part. They just want to be associated with the rich north rather than the poor south. They won't even build southgoing roads, you know? (I was there recently, no didn't get a chance to geohash).

There are a number of unnecessary continents in that list. I created the Oceanic islands "continent" because I couldn't figure out what else to do with the islands in the middle of nowhere. I would recommend that the geographical continents stay in this category and every country get at least one, then the things like Middle East and Central America move to Graticules by region and be optional. -Robyn 15:46, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
