From Geohashing

Catalonia not being sovereign doesn't seem to be a valid argument for removal as, for example, the USA has categories for each of its states. I'd agree, though, that it could be argued that it's not necessary to organize by regions in such a small country as Spain. Gormaz (talk) 22:43, 9 August 2018 (UTC)

Spain is not exactly small though, it consists of 99 graticules if I counted correctly. A regional geohash for Catalonia is way more realistic than one for Spain. --Fippe (talk) 10:15, 18 September 2018 (UTC)
Please, check Category talk:Spain. If you also support the idea of categorizing Spain by regions, I could do it myself. Gormaz (talk) 14:46, 4 October 2018 (UTC)

As it seems that the category is not used, I propose to delete it, despite the reason invoked. If you oppose please state the reason here. --Crox (talk) 20:45, 7 January 2021 (UTC)

Perhaps redirect to category:meetup in Catalunya (template:location/ES) unless that would somehow be taking a stance on the independence issue, which geohashing as a whole doesn't care about because the territory is there regardless of which government one should want running it? I was the person who originally proposed deleting the category, and retract the proposal. Catalonia may not be sovereign (yet?), but neither are the states of the USA which have their own categories. The category was not used, but I fixed that by putting the nine Catalonian graticules and Category:Meetup in Catalunya in this category. Now it looks just like Category:Ohio. --Fippe (talk) 07:58, 8 January 2021 (UTC)
