This graticule is located at latitude 37, longitude -80. It includes portions of Virginia and West Virginia.
Contained on the Virginia side:
Most of the New River Valley including Blacksburg, Christiansburg, Riner, Radford, Dublin, and Pulaski. Also includes the city of Salem in the southeastern quadrant of the graticule. The towns of Narrows and Pearisburg, near the WV line, are also within the Virginia side of this graticule.
Contained on the West Virginia side:
Lewisburg, Hinton, White Sulphur Springs.
Two major interstates intersect this graticule: I-81 in the far southern portion (in Virginia) and I-64 in the far northern portion (in West Virginia). Most populated areas are located near one of these two interstates. The rugged and beautiful Appalachian Mountains cross the graticule from northeast to southwest. Much of the graticule is sparsely populated and farming is a common occupation. Parks, small lakes, and other recreational sites dot the map.
