The Hull / Lincoln graticule is at latitude 53, longitude -0. It contains Hull, Scunthorpe, Grimsby, and the Humber estuary; and heads south to Lincoln and Newark.

For whatever reason, Google Maps has decided not to label Hull, or "Kingston upon Hull" as it is officially named, on the zoomed-out map.

[edit] Geohashes

[edit] 2016

All geohashers are cordially invited to the 2016 geohashing day meetup in the Cambridge UK graticule.

  • 21 May 2016 (Sat): An excellent celebration of Geohashing Day will take place at the (as yet unknown) hashpoint at 4pm. Tongs and Sourcerer have so far confirmed. If the weather is likely to be fine, a picnic has been proposed!

[edit] 2011

  • 2011-05-30 - Sourcerer visited the hash north east of Carlton-le-Moorland on Navenby Lane near Newark-on-Trent, Lincolnshire, UK.
  • 2011-04-02 - Monty was in the area and had a No Batteries wander into the target field to get within a stone's throw.

[edit] 2010

  • 2010-09-04 - Sourcerer visited four hash points on this day. This one was in a sweet corn field just north west of Sibsey, Boston, Lincolnshire, UK. The others were in the Skegness, Northampton and Cambridge graticules.
  • 2010-04-10 - Bluecont and friend David claim the first succesful geohash in this graticule - with a remarkably trouble free journey.
