Figured I'd go for this one. This time, I checked Google Maps Streetview to make sure there wasn't a fence that would impede me... but apparently I either couldn't see the fence in the images, or it was installed recently. Either way, I got within a football field's length of the hash but wasn't able to easily get past the fence. Not only were the openings pretty small, but there were an awful lot of cops on this scenic road for some reason, and one almost certainly would have seen me trespassing. I never would have guessed how much of the desert the public isn't allowed in. There was a really beautiful rock formation / peak, maybe a thousand or so feet high, that I would've loved to come back and hike... if it weren't on a separate private ranch.
