At a wilderness lake Pastori has a conversation with a couple of loons.

Pastori and Wife are continuing their pleasant vacation in Lapland. Today the closest point was only 44.44 km away as the bird flies. So after breakfast they set off under the slightly cloudy skies of a nice summer day. The reindeer saw them off. They were able to drive on paved roads until about 8 km away they had to turn on to a dirt road that was barely suitable for their Yaris. And the last 6 km was to be driven at their own risk. However the point itself was easy to visit in in a dry, soft forest 75 m from the road. Even mosquitoes weren't much of a bother as you can see from Pastori's attire. After waiting for the satellites for a bit, he managed an accuracy of 0.886 m.

On the way back it was easy to smile even though the road got a little crowded even for the little Yaris. It's always safer for the smaller one to yield and wait. Pastori also showed his prowess as as loon whisperer as a couple of arctic loons answered his calls when he mimicked them. Their road passed by the Pallastunturi fells. Just a short 300 m walk to a cottage and a gorgeous view over Kivijärvi to the fells. And then Pastori was in a rush to comply with his nap time. 4 hours and 150 km took its toll and soon you could hear Pastori snoring.
