Expedition
I arrived about 30 minutes early and had to kill time. Lots of owls were calling. I saw two meteor trails and a satellite rose in the north west and headed south. This might have been the space station. It was bright. About half way across the sky it faded out, turning very red just before it vanished. A space station sunset? At about 10 to midnight, someone with a torch went by and later returned. Perhaps they were walking a dog. I had walked a short way up a public footpath and was lurking out of sight. The expected orchard turned out to be a tree plantation or perhaps even an arboretum. There were many types of tree with wide mown rough lawns between the rows. I followed one of these rows on the walk out. The trees were much bigger than the Google image suggests.
The hashpoint was in a clearing beside a hay mower and some sort of tractor dragged cultivation machinery. This was much nicer than my Thursday failure. The 3G seemed to be working but the wiki was returning errors. My return walk was along the road.
