It's weekend, the weather is supposed to be good and the hash is a nice bike trip away, so why not go at it.

Expedition

Of course I overslept. But it's Saturday, so I don't stress myself out too much. While eating breakfast (at 12pm) I made the plan to mount the new phone holder for my bike afterwards and set off at around 2.

The trip itself was circe 20 km long. As the hash jsut at the north border of Berlin, the majority of the distance was on roads in the city. Fortunately, there was not too much traffic today. The last 3km or so were than outside the city and the trail went through nice forest and field areas. Seeing the Fernsehturm in the distance was a nice touch, too. While bicycling I realized that it is - in fact - Saturday and therefore official xkcd meetup day. Glancing at my GPS told me, that I should also be on time for 4pm.

I arrived at the hashpoint at aroung 3:20. The point was some meters in a field, but since this area of the field was not cultivated, I could access the point and get the necessary proof. It was still some time until 4pm so I settled on the edge of the field awaiting any other Geohashers who make it today. I used the time to snack and drink and check my bike. Some time ago I noticed that my backlight was not working, but could not figure out why. Having the time for myself this day and nothing else to do until 4pm I checked the wiring again and realized that one connection was loose. An easy fix and one less appointment at the bike repair shop - yay :)

4pm came and went without any other soul coming, so at 4:15pm I headed back home.
