Location

In some woods, near an organic farm that we'd been to in the autumn for an Apple Day event.

Danheller and family set off. Only two survived...

Plans

Plan. Get in the car. Drive 4km to the farm, walk 1km down a path. Get back to the car in time to get to the shops before my brother arrived from Belgium.

Expedition

We set off in the car, strapped three kids in the back and hoped it wasn't too wet. - Given the extreme weather warnings in West and North Yorkshire and the rain we'd had just further south. So off to Norton we travelled and parked near the organic farm. With Lucas on my back and Erica holding one hand, Juno and Mrs Heller followed on behind. The rear guard backed out at the first sign of ultra-mud, turning back to the car... Erica fell over / was dragged over in the mud and also returned. Lucas and I trudged onwards to the hash through further ultra-mud and found the rough location by Ordnance Survey map. Switching on the GPS confirmed I'd hit the spot and left a blaze for others. Back to the car and waiting family we went. Success! More photos and badges to follow...
